Congratulations to the Bronco Team 3 for winning the In House All Star Tournament in June 2016.
LAMV and California Club Baseball (CCB) will once again have a fall tournament baseball program for LAMV players between 9 and 12 years old. California Club Baseball Inc. has established themselves as one of the premier club programs in California under the direction of Head Director Erick Raich, who is the head coach at De Anza Community College. The fall program will be run by Darius McClelland, CCB's Youth Program Head Director. Darius, a LAMV alum and former college baseball player, brings a wealth of baseball knowledge along with a tremendous track record for developing baseball players.
This year, we will have the following teams:
The younger teams will play one tournament during the fall and will practice once or twice a week with a focus on player development. The cost will be approximately $220 per month (depending on the number of players and tournaments). The 11u and 12u teams will play in one per month with two practices per week. The cost will be approximately $245 per month (depending on the number of players and tournaments). For 13u players there will be a separate tryout in July. Please sign up for the interest list and we will contact you with more information.
The season will run from August to November. Tryouts for the teams will be held on Friday June 17 at Oak School from 5:30 pm. to 8 pm. If you are interested in trying out, please sign up for the interest list by clicking on the following link: Fall Ball Registration Link. Families that sign up for the list will receive an email prior to the tryouts with additional information.
On June 4th-5th, LAMV's Pinto 1 Division (age 7 and under) held their first ever All-Star game. The event was the first time these kids played a game where the players pitched and umpires called balls and strikes. The players showed tremendous pose and skills, especially having never thrown a pitch (nor faced kid-pitch) in a live game before. Their performance bodes well for LAMV's future competitiveness in tournament baseball. The program highlights LAMV's ongoing commitment to player development, with Bruce Fingles directing the effort and Pete Dailey and Peter Tran coaching the two teams.
