LA-MV Fields: Covington

Location: Covington Field is located behind Covington Elementary School at 205 Covington Road, Los Altos, just a couple of blocks east of El Monte Road.

Used by: Practice field for Shetland (5-6), Pinto-1 (7), Bronco (11-12) and Pony (13-14).

Parking: Covington School has its own spacious parking lot with access from Covington Road. The tennis court parking lot at the end of Rosita Avenue provides the closest parking to the field, but the lot is small and can be closed without warning.

Fields: The main field is a grass-infield baseball diamond that can be configured for either Pony (80' basepaths) or Bronco (70') play. The field includes bleachers, fenced-in dugouts, and a batting cage. There is also grass Pinto field in the left outfield area of the main field. The Pinto field has no seating; throw-down blankets or a tarp are recommended.

Facilities: Chemical toilet, playground, basketball, large blacktop area, tennis courts.

Covington Field is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Please respect the homeowners in the area by staying within the speed limits (usually 25MPH), parking only designated parking areas, staying off private property, and minimizing noise away from the field.
