Colt Division provides players an opportunity
to play full regulation baseball,
and is intended as an extension of a player's Junior Varsity High School
experience.
The diamond and pitching distance is
the same size as high school, college, and professional baseball. Players
will be selected based on roster openings and tryout results (fee
refunds are given to unselected players). LA-MVPB participates in an
inter-locked league with teams from other leagues around the South Bay.
Our practice and home field is at
Mountain View High School.
A 20+ game season starts after
the end of the high-school season and concludes by mid July. Each player
receives the use of a baseball jersey and belt (players must supply pants),
plus a cap and socks to keep after the season.
A select number of Colt players are invited each season to participate in post-season “All Star” play. For more information, visit the Post-Season Programs page.

New For 2009
Starting in 2009, the age requirement for Colt Division has changed from
“Ages 15-16” to 16 and Under (16U).
This will give 14-year-old High School players the option of returning to the
Pony Division
at the end of their High School season, or electing to play a complete
season in the Colt Division.
For the first time, LA-MV will be fielding several teams coached by professional coaches, including from All Star Academy of Baseball.
As in previous years, the Colt Division will play a rigorous inter-League schedule against other teams in Northern California, as well as post-season PONY All Star and selected travel Tournaments.
