What's Happening in 2008

On-line Registration
Once again, we are offering on-line registration and payment for both new and returning players — no more searching for misplaced registration forms! Each family logs in or creates an account, registers one or more children, and pays via secure credit card processing.

League Boundary Change
PONY Baseball has again changed the league boundaries in the South Bay, due to the closure of the Sunnyvale/Cupertino (SVC) PONY chapter. This change only affects those players league age 13 and above (Pony and Colt Divisions) living in Sunnyvale or Cupertino.

Players who are 13 or above, live in the city of Sunnyvale, and want to retain their eligibility for All-Stars can register with either LA-MV or Santa Clara PONY. Players who are 13 or above, live in the city of Cupertino, and want to retain their eligibility for All-Stars must now register with Campbell PONY Baseball.

For additional information, see our League Boundaries Page.

Age Cut off Change
Last year, the age cut off date was moved up three months to April 30th. That date will remain as the cut off date this year, but the one year “grandfather clause” that was in place last year no longer is in effect. All players must play within the proper division for their age.

A player's League Age for the 2008 season is their chronological age on April 30, 2008. For example, if a player turns 10 on April 15, he would be considered league age 10, since he is 10 on April 30. If he turns 10 on May 15, he would be considered league age 9, since he is 9 on April 30.
