League Boundaries

LA-MV welcomes players from any city in our Regular Season and Club Teams.

LA-MV welcomes players from any city in our Regular Season and Club Teams.

Boundaries only become an issue for those players who want to retain their eligibility to play in PONY-sanctioned, post-season “All-Star” tournaments.

For players whose league age is up to 14 (all divisions except Colt, and Palomino) who want to retain eligibility for PONY-sanctioned tournaments:

  • Players living in Santa Clara County are free to register with any PONY baseball league in the county, including LA-MV. Due to the location of our fields, most players living in northwest Santa Clara county including Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, West Sunnyvale, North Cupertino will register with LA-MV.
  • Players living in other counties (especially southern San Mateo County) should contact the LA-MV registrar for an exception. We can submit a waiver request to PONY Baseball West Zone on your behalf if your residence is closer to LA-MV fields than the next closest Pony Baseball league.

For players whose league age is 15-16 (Colt Division) or is 17-19 (Palomino Division) who want to retain eligibility for PONY-sanctioned tournaments:

  • Players living in Northern California may register with any PONY League in Northern California, including LA-MV.

If you have a question about your location that might affect your players’s eligibility for PONY-sanctioned tournaments or other post-season “All Star” tournament play, email the registrar.
